HELP US GATHER INFORMATION ON SLOTHS IN DANGER
Manuel Antonio is the most visited national park in Costa Rica. The natural beauty of the rainforest meeting the ocean is irresistible and of course, the wildlife is incredible! Especially the sloths (we aren’t biased at all)!
However, outside of Manuel Antonio, sloths can be found in a variety of habitats across Costa Rica and other Latin American countries from Honduras down to Brazil.
If you have been or are currently traveling in a habitat country for sloths and you saw a sloth…we want to know about it!
Take our Citizen Sloth Scientist survey and let us know what you saw and where. Don’t know what you saw? No problem! This survey will give you our best guess (based on your responses) at the end. You will have the opportunity to upload photos as well.
HELP US, HELP THEM
In addition to giving us preliminary information about sloths in their habitats around Latin America, you can also use this platform to report a sloth in danger or one that is being abused in the tourism industry!
Gathering this information not only allows us to help sloths in need but also to gather the preliminary information for a sloth census by confirming where sloths can be found within their habitat range.
